Singapore in the 1950s - Where i get my nuts: "Guan Say" Victoria Street Whole-Sale Center
Check out this old picture from... earlier today! (film grain + excessive shapening if anybody is wondering how to get the effect). I thought this is the kind of scene from 50 years ago in our entrepot trade island city:)
Anyway here (in more arty farty B+W) is Richard, the boss of Guan Say, where i get my nuts. Just go there and say Jonathan sent you:) you will get great service and good prices on wholesale nuts. The entire wholesale center is a throwback to past age. Quite interesting. And the colors of teh dried foods really make for good photos. This place is along Victoria Street and its opposite the Golden Landmark hotel.
