Sorry for the no updates.

Over the past 4 days I have been away at a camp in Malacca, Malaysia. Im back online though! Have been getting quite a few article requests and will get right on it!:) here are some pictures from malacca!

Friendly People! (even the garbage men:))

Old architecture

Did I mention friendly people?

Practicing panning shots with my Nikon DSLR

Shooting from the "hip" getting a glimpse of public transport in the rear view mirror

Another shot without looking through the viewfinder...I think photo taking may be fronwed upon in this situation. The bus ride was quite an experience, lots of smoking + spitting goin on here!

Children are always beautiful!

The river looks nice but smells...ahem...

Malacca is beautiful. The main draw would be the people, history and culture. British, Dutch and Portugeese influences. The egg tarts are good too... diet did not do well these past few days! Back to real life, and natural foods here we come!

Ohh mother's day!!

I have an awesome mother, she takes care of the houseuold, she is a great wife to my dad and she is a great blessing to many of the people she meets. However beyond all that (which is already excellent!) I belive the most important thing that a mother can do for he children, is to pass down the legacy of her life. Beyond caring, feeding (whoa yummy), instructing and loving her children... she must pass down her character "DNA". Her total being, her attitudes, her morals, her convictions and her lifestyle. This can onld be donewith a CONSISTENT LIFE that PRACICES what she PREACHES.

I feel that my mom has done that so wonderfully. My brother, sister and I really recieve all that she has passed down to us from the way she lives. Her love for people, her selfless attitude to the family, and her sense of right and wrong. Such a woman makes my dad a lucky man and my siblings and I, fortunate beyond measure.

Mothers day may be "commercialised" by shops and resturants trying to sell you over-priced stuff ... but thats only if we don't value our mom's enough the rest of the year. If we value mom consistently with affirming words and actions, then mothers day becomes a tribute, honor and appreciation of what we already know to be true in our hearts.

Oh "but Jonathan you have a cool mom (which is true), my mom just nags me to clean the room and to study more"... yes but sow seeds of kindness in the way you respond to her. I guarantee you it will blossom into something beautiful!

Happy mothers day to mom's everywhere. Its a tough job being a mom, but you all can do it.
