Going "old school" for entertainment - settlers of catan

Map building just like Warcraft!

SOme of my freinds came over last night to have dinner and play "settlers of catan". its a board game. Its outstanding. The map is "random" like a computer game and so its different each round. The game is constantly engaging because part of the game is about collecting resources and trading resources. Trading is done via "Real-time" bidding with other players. Its better than E-bay man! BTW this was "Board game of the year 1996" so it has credintials apart from my reccomendation.

Because of the live trading and bidding "Feature" I find this is an excellent game for today's digital age kids. This game FORCES the players to interact in REAL LIFE. Only know how to communitcate over SMS or MSN messenger or in maple story... get ready to lose badly!
It does take a bit of time to learn but its well worth it (and its ... uh easier to learn than lets say... DOTA?) Go get it! its not cheap (about $60-70, and $90 with the expansion pack for 5-6 players) but hey thats the same price of World of Warcraft right? This is much better for you.
