Restaurant review! - The Rice table suntec city
Last night my family celebrated my parent's anniversary at the Rice Table. Indonesian restaurant, spicy food, decent price because its a BUFFET. Ahhh the beautiful B word for men with muscles. Its all kinds of (mostly) spicy food. Prawns, chicken (3-4 kinds), beef, fish, ahh the joy of eating animals. Veges are not as varied... chilli kangkong, and lemak. Total of 20 dishes for dinner. Personal favorites are the grilled chicken wings, the kangkong, the prawns and the chicken satay (its actuall pieces of chicken not the processed stuff that is chicken flavored and I dont really know what it is). Yes yes, in my diet articles i say no carbs unless after training. But the food is so savory and with so much spices that its tough to eat without rice. There goes one missed healthy meal. haha all for the sake of appreciating my parents. If this was post-training (within 2-3 hours of heavy exercise, it would be fine just as I write about here.)
Service is pretty good and fast. Although they did not understand that when i say i want 4 chicken, I mean 4 PLATES of chicken not 4 pieces... common mistake so its forgiven haha. Did I eat too much? yes... we talked and ate chicken wings for a long time... ahh the joys of buffet.
Ambiance is good but not great, it was not helped that there was this childrens carnival going on downstaris so there was alot of noise.
All in all, I'd go there again but it has to be after training so i can eat the rice with all the spices!:)
