IPPT training part 0 - the basics
I will get some general items out of the way first. these items apply to all stations.1. Nobody is going to CHEAT on the test. I dont advocate it and I wont teach it.
2. You will need to train. There is no such thing as a free lunch for physical attributes. But we will train in the best, smartest and most efficient possible way.
3. You cant be a fat boy and expect to pass.
4. You cant be a super skinny bones-only boy and expect to pass.
5. If you are 3 or 4 please see here for some stuff on diet ... and get that in order. I reccomend the "making healthy eating a lifestyle" articles.
6. This will be different from "army" style training in some respects because while serving army, all we do is train. But now we have real lives and jobs and families so training cannot take up so much time.
7. As with all tests where we can prepare... practice is key so remember that besides the "fitness" that you need, there is SKILL in taking each item so you will need to practice the actual events not just exercise general fitness.
8. Most importantly, remember that this is the I-P-P-Test...WE know the questions that will be asked. How many people fail tests where the teacher TELLS YOU THE QUESTIONS BEFOREHAND? not many... but many fail the IPPT. Thats sad... so lets fet started
