A world of deception, a world of dispair, the world of WarBluff (my World of Warcraft concerns)

This is one heck of a scary world. Some of my freinds just (within the last 2 months) started playing and are pretty much hooked. It IS FUN. no dbout about it. The game itself meets many human needs

1. Affiliation (community) - you can go on quests together, interact, share stories and help/hurt each other. Just like real life... or so it seems. Without the chance to be hurt emotionally. But then again without the chance to develop a true relationship as a In game character is only a miniscule, puny and incomplete description of a human being. (5-6 attributes vs... uh... infinite?)

2. Achievement - Oh boy when i get that new mount, new weapon, more honor points woohoo it feels good... too bad its utterly meaningless in real life. "virtual riches (in game)" = "really poor(in life)"

3. Power - yummy, I get to bash people around when i am high level! Uh this is in not way applicable in real life!!

In general, the game is just a "enhanced" version of reality but totally non transferable! why waste time? Is it wrong to play... of course its not a crime or a sin, but is it really the best use of life? See the title of the blog "living withno regrets"...

I BETTTCHA nobody is going to lie on their deathbed wishing they had leveled up just that one more level...but I know many people die regreting that they did not do more meaningful things with their time!

(This stuff applies to all MMORPGs)... the video below just shows how immersive and attractive the game is...
BEWARE
