A show I really liked
If you have not seen it, catch it as soon as you can. Some shows say they are for "family entertainment" but that just means that there isn't excesive or overt sex/violence/drugs etc. But this show takes "family" to a whole new level. The main characters are a "father" and "daughter" who are actually father and daughter in real life. The whole production is a neat concept because it is at the root, a magic illusion show. But its got a meaningful storyline as well as dancing and singing so its really alot of stuff packed into one performance. I've seen some illusion shows (Jeff mcbride, copperfield, and the Pendragons) and some musicals (Lemiz, Phantom of the opera and some Singaporean producations as well) those are excellent shows! But this show puts the differnt types of entertainiment together nicely and that makes it special.Another amazing thing is that the main character Lawrence is a 50+ year old man who didn't go into show business till about 5 years ago. It takes a brave man with a big dream to try something new at 50! Some of us far younger have already stopped dreaming:( thats part of the reason I write those "living with passion" series.
The show is Singaporean based but travels to the USA and China quite alot. It has also been to Thailand and Japan. Don't miss it if you are near!
